Commissions.
If you’d like to commission a custom portrait of your pet or a stunning wildlife piece, please refer to the helpful guide below. Whether you’re looking for a heartfelt tribute to a beloved companion or a unique artwork featuring your favourite animal, I’ll work with you to bring your vision to life.
I look forward to creating a one-of-a-kind piece just for you!
01
Size.
Decide between a classic rectangular or square portrait, with the option to include up to three subjects. If you're unsure which shape would work best, I’m happy to advise based on your reference photos to ensure the best composition for your artwork.
02
Reference Photo.
A high-quality headshot of your pet is essential for capturing their unique character. The best photos are taken in natural lighting—either outdoors (without direct sunlight) or near a window—to ensure clear visibility of their eyes. Their position should be aligned with the camera for the best perspective. Holding a treat near your camera can be a great way to grab their attention!
I work from one main photo but appreciate receiving a selection to get a better sense of your pet’s personality. If you’re unsure whether your images are suitable, feel free to email me a few options, and I’ll be happy to offer guidance.
If your pet has sadly passed, I will do my best to work with the photographs you have. However, I do require original images rather than screenshots or cropped photos to achieve the best possible result.
03
Book in your Commission.
Once you've decided on the size of your portrait and gathered a selection of suitable reference photos, the next step is to get in touch with me. Please note that I usually have a 2-month waiting list, so if you need the portrait completed by a specific date, it's best to plan ahead.
To secure your place on my waiting list, I require a non-refundable £50 deposit at the time of booking, with another £50 due once I begin work on your portrait. This £100 deposit will be deducted from the total cost of your portrait.
If you'd prefer to pay in monthly instalments, I’m happy to arrange that for you. Feel free to get in touch to discuss your preferred payment plan!
04
Process.
The time it takes to complete your drawing will depend on the size and complexity of the portrait. Once the details are confirmed, I’ll provide an estimated time frame for completion.
You have the option to receive progress photos throughout the process, or if you prefer, you can wait to see the finished portrait once it’s complete—the choice is entirely yours!
05
Completion.
Once your portrait is complete, I will send you a selection of high-quality photos for your review. When you're 100% happy with the portrait, the remaining balance can be settled.
Your artwork will then be presented with a signed, stamped, and dated Certificate of Authenticity, ensuring its uniqueness and quality.
